I would hit the rev limiter in 4th before the braking zone on Monday at 9500 rpm. That scared the **** out of me the first time.

yeah, I did not realize that I could not use one weekend of worker credit, and pay for the other half of the entry fee. So I am just going to pay for it. It is worth it to me. I need to get some track.

Actually, it is best to work your way up to speed. the car doesn't go from being under control to out of control abruptly. So, if you increase your top speed each session or lap by 1 or 2 mph you will gradually approach the point things start getting uncomfortable for you. The JIC Silvia had to be hitting over 160 on the back straight and he was a heavily modded street car. With your suspension and brakes, I think you can easily crest the hill at turn 9 at over 140 and have lots of room for braking. One difference may be that 9 becomes more of a turn at that speed though so you have to pick a turn in point and late apex it to keep drivers right to be set up properly for 10a. At the RX8 speed, we just draw a straight line from the bridge at turn 8 on the left side of the track to the right side of the track at turn 9. You would keep left and treat 9 like a real turn.

I was hitting turn 9 at 140mph and that Silvia was still passing me like I was going backwards! Ask Lego - he was in the car with me. That car was flying! I guess we must respect the Nissans

After an extended conversation with Charlie, I've decided to run the Panoz event with him Sep 17. There are a lot of things I want to work on learning and RA with Chaz is a perfect combination. I will miss the gang but there will be more opportunities.

And if you are lucky and they have Track Touring at lunch time, then you can get that beautiful Copper Red Shinka on the track for yorself and play around at manageable speeds. Trust me... you will be hooked!
L8... you gotta get some pics of this Copper. I love that color.

I'm sorry that I won't be able to make this one. But, I plan to do the Seat Time event at Roebling on Sept. 22nd instead. The good thing is that I will probably get more track time than you'll get all weekend, and it costs a lot less. Anyone care to join me?

rddragoness, we would be glad to have you come out and watch, but be careful, you will want to join at some point, and it is addicting. our resident track dealer is good at giving free track for the first hit...
Silver, i will try to get a couple pictures of the copper red, I will not have the good camera, as it has already been returned to it's rightful owner.
