All I have to say is watch your temps if you go FI. The FD's have major cooling issues in stock form, and I would think the 8s would be basically the same with all that extra fuel and air. I could only get about 10min on track before overheating until I made some ducting, upgraded my radiator, and got a vented hood. Good luck though, should be fun!!!

thanks Guys. and Prepping for this has already started---dont worry "Temps" is almost my middle name. Appreciate the advice.
Ordered the INT x today--takes approx 4 weeks to finalize and load map etc--found out that i have played giutar with some of Scotts friends and i may be distantly related to his office manager Betsy!
Down payment on the S.C kit tonight. Several cars are already tracking with this system in Florida and so far no probs. Superchargers are a little more temp friendly than turbo's. But still you are right --watch closely.
I just found out that i get to chop up my oem upper intake with a hacksaw!! Hot Damn--the answer to my dreams!
Guys there is a LOT happening right now with the FI world---getting Mazda's attention at SevenStock 10--you need to follow. i predict a mazdaspeed option in the near future.

Ain't that the truth. I'm pretty excited about this one. I got a set of 15x8 wheels with hoosiers that I might try sometime during the weekend too. You guys need to get a track car with cheap parts. 4 15x8 wheels, $110 total. It's getting ridiculus. Kelly is starting to comment that the wheels and tires in the shed must be mating and multiplying.

Come back after a bit of an absence and it looks like nothings changed in the GA RX8 community - still tracking the cars and loving it. Hope to see you guys again soon...preferably at the track as well

Well I was checking out the brakes last night and the rear pads are toast. I'd say the fronts have a weekend left on them maybe. About a quarter inch till I start hitting the rivets. I'd like to switch them out but I don't really have the cash for new pads right now and this will be my last event for the year. Guess I'll bring the stockers as backup. Wonder if I can get away with the stock pads on the rear? I have the Carbotech XP8's on the front and the AX8's on the rear currently. The AX8's are more of a street pad anyway which I guess is why they wore out first. I think I'll do the XP8's all the way around next time.

roebling is not hard on brakes like CMP. only one really big braking zone. I would have your stockers there as backup, I always have at least my stock pads just in case. next year I plan to have a spare set of track pads in the box just in case. I learned that lesson at CMP.

and control me, ****, I am installing padding on the ceiling of the guest room, so that Phlash does not hurt his head bouncing on the bed all Thursday night like a little kid at a sleepover.

Good to know. I think I'll be ok though with the stock pads on the rear and what's left of the XP8's on the front. I was just putting it out there so someone would have the opportunity to say "No don't do that you idiot!"
