Well I 'll be the one pokeing along on the stock o40's. Good thread only one track heat cycle on 2 of the tires. A little rain may be fun. We have a great dsc system. Works just right.
Hey STF I believe Lego has the only "stock" car in the group. So your ride will be like off the showroom floor.
Getting my recall today. Off the rest of the week for the hell of it.
ANyone know where to find royal purple 5/20w? Pep boys doesnt stock that weight. I think i am ready to swap over to it.
Anyone using pre mix?

I use premix in the RX-7. Haven't tried any in the RX-8, but a little Marvel Mystery Oil in the tank wouldn't hurt at all.

Well, I am instructing, I will be riding along with someone I am sure. I may sign up for another group for more track time, but I will play that by ear. I thought this event was two weeks out, so i am not sure if all my crud will be here yet or not. Although, i got more good news, a shop in Charlotte is making custom Evo driveshafts out of aluminum, and he wants to test fit with my car. Hopefully, I will get to keep them.

Great news STF. Getting recognition is sometimes a good thing! Maybe you can ride along with me. I signed up for hp2. You dont weigh 300lbs doya! lol! I will need help in firguing out the double appexs and the right landmarks.
Dont use Marvel Mystery Oil for your premix. Use a high performance racing Yamaha etc type synthetic oil. I mix one oz for every 8 glas on the street. on the track--well its my secret!
by the way I am changing to royal purple engine oil this week.

Note to self, order the front end like Valpac......
OD, yes, I would love a ride along, I was once called the 'track *****' because of all the cars I would ride in during a weekend. As for land marks, three words, 'Wait for it....' Lots of folks get anxious and turn in too soon. It took me 3 events to get more patient, and wait. Right now, I have turned 1:27's stock, and 1:28's with the setup I have now. (Partial throttle and a messed up BOV), so in essence, same speed, 50whp less. I expect to get 1:26's (conservative) this coming weekend.
Right now, I am NOT 300, I am closer to 220, I know, fat body......I am working on it now though. Lots of swimming and jumping rope.

Hey, I asked Julie to make sure I was instructed by an HPDE3 or 4 person. See if you can instruct me, that way the ride swap will be easier and you get to help me be as good as you.

Keep up the swimming. It's wonderful. I used to swim competatively through HS and played water polo in college. Now, I'm old and fat though.
