Initially went with Gran Turismos numbers. Their alignment machine (Hunter) is loaded with 2004 specs which are good for the 05 as well.

Got a copy of sport suspension Technical data from the Shop manual from someone.

Front- (14.5" vehicle height) -1,45' deg to +0,15' deg or
-1.75 deg to +0.25 deg

Rear- (14.0" vehicle height) -2,44' deg to -0,44' deg or
-2.73 deg to -0.73 deg

So my -1.5F and -2.0R is within Mazda spec. I just scanned the spec sheet but it turned out huge to read the numbers. I can email it to ya. PM me with your email address.

Why don't you guys run more front camber? I know some of you are limited by 'stock' settings, but it would seem to me for track days, you guys would run
-2.5 up front, and maybe -2.8 out back. This would allow for better wear at speed.

I have my Evo aligned for both, my camber plates and tie rods are marked for 'stock' (street), and another setting for track. It is a pain to make the change, but the benefit for laptimes is substaintal.

Just thinking....

Yeah, since this is my DD only want to set it and forget it. I want to find a "comfortable" setting and stick with it. Not a track addict like some so, going back and forth with the settings would be counterproductive, not to mention cost prohibitive.

Ditto, plus on ours cars the camber is reactive(dont know the correct term here) .Our cars camber actually increases somewhat with suspension compression whereas in some cars it doesn't. I too am looking for middle ground. Now when I upgrade my suspension and am able to get the hoosiers then I may get more aggressive of the settings.
By the way--I have ordered some carbotec panters 8's for the front an bobcats for the rear.i will put bobcats on the front also for street use. I probaly will have to adjust my driving style a little because of these. Ya'll dont follow too close now lol

I will follow you into turn 1, I heard you were the man . I got bad news yesterday, the boost controller in my car is fine, which means, the turbo is either leaking, OOOORRRRR it's fried. Either way, I am ordering a 3071R Kit for my car. With the stock ECU, I should be on boost about 200RPM sooner, and have about 120whp more to play with. With the RA1's, I should be able to get into the 1:19's. To give you an idea of how fas that is, a Enzo at Roebling runs 1:22's.
I will have to see though, I can't imagine how much faster I could carry speeds through the corners. However, the old 125 down the straight should be closer to 150.

I am REALLY getting exicted now.

Ever hear the word "tunnel vision" lol. if you havent experienced it yet then be prepared! Also you may want to change your areos a little. The wind at 150 is differant. Will you have your kit by this track day? You are getting serious man.
I will get the hell out of your way! But I will still be "the man"
lol

I spoke to one of my buddies, and he is checking to see if they have all I am going to need. When you are getting things from people who 'sponsor' you are limited to when they can come up with all the parts, their time-table not yours. Also, the tuning may be an issue, I know how to tune, like my wife can cook, certian dishes. However, to tune this kit with the stock ECU and other piggybacks requires a more gourmet knowledge, and I am not sure I am there yet. But, I am going to do what I can to get there .

Overall, I hope to have all the stuff on, but, I don't want to get my hopes crushed. Either way, I will have fun, with or without the added whp. The highlight for me will be to get a few rides from you guys, so I can start my decisions on my other 8. I have been reading some on Japanese sites, and I have some ideas I can't wait to run by you guys.

I'm back from vacation this weekend. Went up to Pine Mtn, GA and around Callaway Gdns. WOW! Beautiful roads, and the 8 would have been great except we took my wife's car. Anyway, I'm going to have to join you guys for the next Mountain Run.

3 More Weeks!

He is something to factor.

Me driving MY Evo to 100%, 1:20's, (hopefully).

Editor, babying the Enzo around Roebling at 60%, equals 1:22's.

At the limit, well the Enzo would prevail, I AM SURE. But it is fun to play the, 'my car is faster than his car game'.

Hey guys,

I also asked for an instructor from HPDE 3 or 4, not a racer. This way, I won't have to worry about someone being more interested in their race than their student. I saw a lot of students left out in the dust while racers were messing with their car or getting other things ready. That would really **** me off.

The key to Roebling is landmarking the apexes, to help pace your turn-ins. Go to www.32vcobra.com, download the codec, and watch steve. He got a basically stock 32vCobra into the 1:29's. Not to shabby, consdiering the car's weight, and wheel horsepower.

I'm going to have to meet everyone at Roebling Friday evening. I'm going to try to leave here around noon to drive up there.

How long does it take you? My best guess from Atlanta is 2.5 hours???

Remember, they open the gates to us at 5:00.

from albany it is a solid 4 hours. i sued to drive that back and forth from school. a heavier foot can do it faster on the interstate, but the little back roads between I-75 and I-16 can be a bit slow going, all the little towns and the State Patrol actually will patrol those little roads.

even from atlanta, savannah is a good 4 hours. i hate I-16.

Should I do it that way or have 82 to I-95 and go north?

I have heard horror stories about I16 from one of my buddies in Atlanta. The words 'most boring' and 'worthless" were used alot.

that route will take you even longer.

Just take GA 300 to I-75. Then I-75 to Highway 27, I think it is exit 112. that will take you to hawkinsville, where you will transistion to highway 26, which goes up to I-16. then I-16E is a straight shot to savannah, and as STF mentioned, it is a worthless stretch of road. The exits are sometimes 15 to 20 miles apart, and there is nothing at them anyway. It is long, flat, and heavily patroled by all of the local cops that border the road. There are lots of places they hide in the median, and they are not going to let anyone off, especially in the 8, or an evo 8 :D . Take plenty of music, and something to drink, and have enough gas, it is a long stretch, and not much there.

I wish I could make it to this one, it would be fun.

EDIT: forgot the map for you.

Well I am in macon and will be leaving around 4pm or so. approx 2 hr drive down that worthless road for me. Where are we all meeting up? If yall are coming through Macon around that time maybe we can meet up here? Track opens at 5pm? or was that at 5am? If it was 5am to hell with that! Who is bringing stuff to rotate tires with. No sense in all of us bringing the same equipment.

I'll be bringing my track tires with me, so I'll have a jack and all the neccessary accessories to change tires with. With my jack, you can just raise one side of the car and do 2 wheels at once.
