Besides parking lots belong to the people that own the land. Cops cant do anything unless the owner ask them to have you removed. I've been in 7 different car clubs over the years and never had a cop do anything but stop to look at the cars and say Hi.

I know that putting an intake really does nothing hp wise mostly sound. But is there really a bad side to buying the KN. Pardon me for problably not understating what you wrote AlexCisneros but what did you mean when you wrote "A K&N or Green drop in is plenty"?

He was talking about a replacement drop in filter, like the K&N or Green filter, which effectivly does just as much as any aftermarket intake. They'll run you about $50.
I myself have the K&N drop in with a gutted airbox and Ram Air duct. It works fine for me and gives a tiny bit more pep up top, especially with the ram air duct.
If you looking for more sound out of your intake though, you gunna want the K&N typhoon.

please don't get the typhoon...I've had a type 1 and it was complete garbage..left it on for less than 3 days...it sucks nothing but hot air and sounds buzzy like an old fart can integra...I felt slower than with the stock airbox.
I've only heard the type 2 and it sounded bad also...I can't comment on the performance...
jus get a k&n panel filter and remove the baffels inside the intake...it will still be quiet but with more rumble and performance will improve slightly...best you can do since the stock airbox is already bad ***.

^^^^ I agree totally.
The AEM or Mazdaspeed sounds quite nice, but it sits so low Id be afraid of swamping the engine, especially here in S. FL
Wait untill you hear my car next week man, youll change your mind, in sure.

I dont know y i was so intent on putting the intake on the car but you guys know way more than me when it comes up 2 this car so i think if im gonna do i'll do it the right way and save up money to get the RB intake...till then ill see if i can pick up the KN filter and try 2 do the stock box mod...although the other day i tried to take the box out and man it was impossible to do...i tried pushing it back(like i've read in many forums) but it seems impossible to do. Do i really need 2 take it out to remove the screens in the box?
