Well, I'm back and I'm tired as hell. Great race with lots of noise. Audi rules again in P1. Mazda took a second in P2. Vette was strong enough that even Nabil would have had a hard time with him. Those new Aston Martins are amazingly fast car and I believe their introduction this year is one of the best things that have happened to the American Le Mans series. Now, if that Porsche P2 was ready for prime time we would have had a really amazing show. I can't wait till next year.
Lego, I hope you enjoyed watching on Speedvision. We had to "easy ups" and were set up under the big screen inside at the turn 10 area.

damn silver, you are quick.
i am thoroughly exhausted. but i had a blast. that was by far one of the coolest things i have done in a long time. those cars are so fast, so loud, and so much fun to watch. and since most of us have been on that track, it is all that much more impressive the speed they carry around that track. I will try to get my film processed this week, and get the good shots over to silver to post up on the web.
It was good to meet the couple of new folks in the group, and seeing the old familiar faces. I can't wait until the next one.

HOT DAMN those are some good pictures! I was hoping you got one of the Mazda spitting out the flames, that is an AWESOME picture! Did you happen to get one of the front of the Vette by itself? *waits for everyone to throw things at him*

i have to say, that was a lot of fun. and loud. really loud. especially the 3-rotor. it was really easy to know when to look for it...we could hear it entering the esses before we could see it come out from behind the trees.
did anyone get a picture of the mazda car at night, with its glowing exhaust?

thanks for all the fantastic pictures...it brought back so many exciting moments from the race Saturday....what a blast to be in the pits and on the grid right before the race....meet the MAZDA team and the drivers!!!! I love the way they took special notice when they heard I drove an 8 and had driven it on Road Atlanta in other than a "Parade Lap"!!!! The MAZDA team people were great ; there were 2 father and son teams, which I thought was nice. Even though I could tell they were really pumped for the race, they took time out to meet and shake hands with the folks....good people with one hell of a fast car...can't wait till they get everthing worked out with the car....I may have to follow them to the next one just to see how thing are goiing.

Thanks Pam, I shot over 600 images. I've been busy working with them and getting them ready to upload to the SilverEIGHTStudio website. I was really disappointed I didn't have photo credentials this time but I was surprised this evening when I started getting into them. I'm not pitching away as many as I thought I would.
Sounds like you got up close and personal with the Mazda team. That's cool. :D

Some Pictures Finally
ok, so I finally got my pictures developed. I have only reviewed 6 rolls so far, and the consensus is...I need a better camera lense. Silver's pictures are far superior, so I will only share a few.
