well, 390 miles later, that was fun. slow going at times. while it was cool to drive the "dragon", it will probably not be a regular route. I will try to work on the video in the coming week or two, and get that up on silver's site, if he will let me. :D

Good gried Charlie Brown! I left my house at 7:45am this morning, and I pulled back into the driveway at 7:00pm. Wow.

We did a LOT of driving today, and it was a blast, can't wait for the chase cam video

Definitely a long drive, but nice. Lotsa twisties. From our normal north GA mountain roads to the windy river run near the Tail to the Tail itself. Our little foursome was cool. Nice to have RedlineShinka join us for some spirited driving. I look forward to our next run.

BTW, the country is beautiful up there and if we hadnt been ripping up the road, we might have seen more of it. I can definitely spend some time in a cabin with some fishing thrown into the driving.

I have a few pix that I will post this evening.

P.S. The number of bikes up there was amazing. And man did they get close to the car around those turns! WHEW!

Bicycles or Motorcycles? Oncoming or from the rear?

 

both, but on the dragon, the bikes ride the centerline, and then the lean into the turns. I was sure one of them would hit me. He almost did.

We did see theone that put the bike in the trees, that seams to bring out all of the lcoal authorities. Lots of sirens.

 

Yep. Coming at me, wheels on the centerline and leaning into MY LANE. Scary. Don't take the turn wide, there could be trouble.

The longest trip in my 8 for sure. I'll stick to the usuall 180 mile we normaly drive on Sunday's.

It was a pretty trip, I'll go back and take the wife, but a hotel will be in the plan.

The "Tail" is built for bikes, and there are lots of folks the on the weekends.

I suggest we start earlier, and get there before the traffic hits. I have a new route in mind that includes Rt. 248, Rt.180 and Alt. Rt. 75 towards Helen. Should be fun and we will be done before DARK.

Maybe after the holidays, and maybe we can get cooler weather.

I had lots of fun, glad we all had a safe trip-and as Nabil sezs-No RX8's we injured!!

Chris, I've been so busy with silvereightstudio.com I haven't put any more time into garx8club.com. I'll get back to it sometime but first I have two huge races I'm covering within 4 weeks, Superbikes and Petit Le Mans.
