Roebling With Nasa-who Is Going?
#30
Guys - I don't think the car will be ready by this event. If it is not, I will show up anyway to catch a few rides (Lego and TA will hopefully take my fat *ss around track) and take pictures of you all.

Thanks to Mike's help, the LSD rear axle is in! I couldn't have done it without his help. Thanks very much! And, it's very pretty I must add... he did the painting.
Mike, if your car isn't ready, you are more than welcome to co-drive mine. I'd be honored. Just don't complain how slow and crappy it is please. Ok, you can complain, it's ok. It will be a hoot at Roebling.
Next item to install, short shifter...

Lego - thanks for the offer, I just don't think it would be a great idea. Not that your car isn't fast, it is just I think I would worry so much about hurting your project car, that I wouldn't be that fast. It is one thing to drive your own car on track, but a good friends car - I think the turtles at Roebling would pass me. It's not about the money - but the time you have put into that car. I guess the only way I would feel comfortable is if I could buy something for the car and help install it? How about getting some new bushings for that thing!!!!! I think that would help 10x more than a short shifter! Those bushings look like they came over on the Mayflower.
Yet - I would love a few rides with you around track. And we still have to adjust your parking brake and bleed the brakes - call me if you need help.

just got message from Julie--i have to mail my coupon in but all seems well.
Lego-MD --looking good guys!
Sure will miss having that rouge Z out there. Glad it was just a head gasket? Seems like that is what I remember reading?
So what is the latest driving list?

all of you suck. you all better come back to Roebling in September. I think 7 is the most we have ever had driving at one time. now, when we all end up in the same run group, that would be really cool.

My brother is not going to be able to make the track event we were planning on.....
So.... I now have one more NASA coupon that I'd like to get rid of for a special discounted price of $225. Anyone interested?

I just ordered the RacingBeat Catalytic Converter Replacement Pipe. Should be in Thursday. I'll take it to Roebling with me for Seat-Time. I will also change it out for track everytime. Also ordered the Agency Power Under driven Crank Pulley.

My super deal lady with the Miata apparently does not want to give up her car, so for now... I play. When I get another great opportunity, I will try again.
WhiteTop pissed me off the other day. He bought a 1st Gen RX-7 for $165 (auto). He's ripping out the auto and putting in a manual trans he got from Mazmart. Don't know what he plans to do with it but maybe I'll talk him out of that one. I'm not holding my breath because he seems to be getting attached to it.
I here all these stories about people getting these great deals but for some reason I can't seam to find them myself.

Siver--make sure you keep some new exhaust gaskets with you during those times.
I dont know how long you are thinking it will take you to swap them out, but you may want to do this before you go to the track. Make sure you have all the right bolts. Once you start working on this you will understand. get something to protect the o2 sensors that you will have to remove. Go ahead and get the special o2 sensor removal socket and some wd40! And you do realize that you will throw a cel. Now that cel is not a problem BUT the only thing to be leary of is that if something else happens that would normally throw a cel--then you will not be aware of it, because there is already one registered on the warning light. This would probably be a very rare event-- Plus if I am not mistaken that cel will register in the pcm so you may want to get an ob 2 reader so those codes can be cleared!
After all said and done I cant wait to hear how she sounds! I have thought about getting one also.
