Route suggestion

Okay, last weekend I took the drive down A1A from Ponte Vedra to Daytona and that was a fun drive...scratch that it was an extremely fun drive. It was even fun during the monsoon as I got into Daytona. While in daytona, I had the chance to feel the power of DSC (or is it DCS). I hit a puddle with the driver side wheels (a long puddle at that). Right as I felt the steering start to pull, the car compensated for it and sailed smooth and straight through the puddle with little to no effort on my part.
Anyway, with that being a pefect waste of an afternoon, I definitly want to do that again...and again...and again....
Anyone have other suggestion for scenic drives for a lazy Saturday or Sunday afternoon?
A couple that come to mind is a drive up to the Amelia Island, or even a weekend trip up to Savanna (forgive the spelling if it is misspelled). Also how would a Highway 90 drive be going west?

thanks in advance,

Gary J.

I TOLD you an A1A caravan to Daytona for a weekend get together would be SWEET, regardless of the direction you're coming from. We GOTTA plan for a Daytona Meet!...it would be awesome!

The RX-8s of Florida may be planning their first event around Sept-Oct. The A1A Caravan~Daytona meet would be so schweeeet.:D :D

Actualy what would be awesome is a caravan heading north on A1A. We could load the St. Johns ferry up completley with RX8s.
That's a nice drive that way also. I drove from Ponte Vedra up to Frenandina Beach last weekened. A Lot of open roads with some nice scenery. Fernandina Beach wasn't what I expected. I expected much more of a resort town instead of the quite community I saw driving through. But it was nice none the less..
