RRDI Today at 6:30 PM
The Raleigh Rotary Drive-In will be gathering at the Char Grill on Strickland Road around 6:30. All rotary drivers in the Triangle area are invited to come by meet other rotary owners of all generations and all models to ask questions, findout about rotary activities, and get to know others who enjoy driving a unique car with a piece of engineering art for an engine.
We are taking orders for the RRDI club T-shirts and Polo shirts starting tonight as well. Also planning a trip up to Virginia Int'l Raceway in August for the SCCA Oak Tree National race. Come join RRDI and be a driver!

More RRDI photos
We had a great turnout for the Drive-In last night, I counted a total of 18 rotaries came in and we had a couple of non-rotary visitors as well, here is the starting line-up:
Here are four of a kind, RRDI rotorheads, you just can't beat a hand like that:
Freshly back from the sands of Kuwait, Eric J. made it to the Drive-In, it wasn't enough to just come to the meet and get reacquainted with everyone he had to conduct a hands on class in replacing an FD coolant hose:
We had a record 4 RX8s show up last night. I was also able to get some cars & drivers shots to expand the membership album. Here is Jon's brand new, fresh off he lot less than 24 hours RX8:
This was the second DI for this Black Cherry 8, it kindly brought along both of its drivers Beth and Douglas.
Bobby was there as well with his always classy silver beauty:
and the 4th RX8 last night was also attending its second DI with its driver, Gary:
. . . . . more to come >

More pics
and to round out the dozen FCs that made it out is a couple of pics. The first is Mike's 86 with the unique license plate and the second picture is that of Eric C's 87 FC.
And to conclude with a happy ending is a parting shot of Eric J. and his two favorite things:
It was a great drive-in and I got a lot of commitments for shirts and interest in caravaning up to VIR Sunday August 7 for the Oak Tree Nationals. More to come on that later. The highlight of the night was Eirc's class and practical exam. We pulled together as a club fixed his problem and all had a great time. Post up if would like to go north on August 7 and send me a PM if you want to order some RRDI shirts.
