RX-8 Owners Club of Georgia

RX-8 Owners Club of Georgia
Fellow Georgians-
Are you interested in starting an RX-8 Owners Club of Georgia? I am, and I'm looking for others who may also be interested. I have been speaking with the folks at Jim Ellis MAZDA here in Atlanta about being a sponsor for such a club and they are very enthusiastic. There would be opportinities to hold technical sessions with MAZDA service technicians, organize track days at places like Road Atlanta, put together detailing clinics, organize recreational drives and Auto-X events, obtain special discounts, even get together for a beer and discuss the RX-8. I'm sure many of you have some great ideas as well.
If, like me, you think it woud be fun to organize, support and participate in such a club, I and others would like to hear from you. If you've got ideas of how to make such a club fun for owner's and their families, I and others would like to hear from you. If you have experience you'd like to share about how to get such a club started, I and and others would like to hear from you.
What do you say? Is there any enthusiasm for a club? Can we get an RX-8 Owners Club of Georgia started?

I would be interested in participating. Mazcare is my shop and I am currently testing different available mods and accessories on my own 8. A bunch of us have just ran the NASA event at Road Atlanta and had a blast with plans to do it again soon. Let me know how I can help.

Will this be formal (charter, dues, etc...) or informal?

I'm sure we can make it something special, but the legalities have not been addressed. We will need input from all interested parties.

I've seen the NASA postings ... that's the kind of event I personally would like to see regularly occuring. Looked like fun.

We are pretty reasonable with our prices and have been known to offer group pricing and install days. We are a dealer for Racing Beat as well as others but highly recommend RB. Come check out the new intake next week!
We can talk about having get togethers here too if there is interest. Please feel free to give us a call or stop by.

I'm interested in this club idea, but I'm alittle further up than ya'll. I'm up here in Dalton, but would still come down there to the meets if any occur. It'd be nice to see another RX-8 on the roads. There are like 3 other ones here and they're all bone stock.
