RX8 Dyno Sheet w/Racing Beat intake
Here's the evidence from todays trip to the dyno w/the new intake.
003 was from December of 2003 when the car had 1200 miles on it and was completely stock.
022 was today 14 April 2005 with 13000 miles. Run was conducted in 5th gear (1:1) and is SAE corrected figure. It was 61 deg. f w/ low humidity.
PCM is configured to "N" calibration.
Mods are as follows: Cat Back Exhaust (Team Moon, just like R/B, 2.5 hp gain when tested), ACT flywheel (no hp gain possible), SR pullies (minimal gain expected), Racing Beat REVi intake (big gain felt and seen)
Everything else is stock. The car is absolutely great in every way. Feel free to call me with questions.

I have had the privilege of meeting Charlie and not only is he a truly nice guy, he is very knowledgeable on this stuff. Thanks to him, I now MUST order up my own RB intake to replace my R.E. "system" even if I have modded it a bit. DAMMIT!!
How will you guys feel to hear that I had to drill the Hell out of it to accomodate my nitrous module?
Thanks alot, Charlie

Wow wow wow. I'm definitely going to get this now. I surreptitiously left the thread on the RB Intake up the other night for my wife to "find". She read it and was pretty convinced. Now that she's seen this page, she's agreed. I'm going to order mine ASAP.
.......Now I just need to leave the threads for the RB exhaust and RP super hi-flow cat open for her to "find". MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Well, I am back from Road Atlanta and I have to say that I have heard sweet music today. The 3 rotor Courage sounds and performs very well. I spoke with the engine builder and he is happy with the performance so far and is confident that it will perform well.
Thanks for the kind words Charles and everyone else. I really want to see all of us enjoy our 8's to their fullest potential and will pass on my findings always.

Well,
Installed my intake last night. Even had my 15 yr old daughter helping me reattach the front clip in the driveway at 10pm and my wife was taking pictures! We are pretty sick. Anyway it is a straight forward install. I wish I had had some clear corners to install at the same time.
Report is exactly like Charlie has said. I did clean my MAF before reinstall. It was just a little dirty. One more thing I will mention---- clear youre ecu when you install this intake. Just unhook the battery when you start the install and afterward do the 20 stomp thingy on the brake pedal to clear the memory.
It's amazing at all the room you have in front of the engine once all the "stuff " is removed.
Very good mod. Its worth the money.
My life is now complete.

Glad to hear it OD! What about driving impressions? I took out the v8 today and even with all the power that thing has, it just doesn't hold a candle to the rx8. Now we gotta come up with more goodies that work!
