Session 6

My video camera is really screwed up. I had to tape the telephoto/wide angle slider all the way over to wide angle because it kept automatically moving to full telephoto on it's own and would not focus. SO... sorry for the blurred video. Now the audio is really bad to so double sorry. I really wanted to record this run.

I'm back to OEM on the exhaust.

Glad you had a great weekend Silver. You're making me want to go to Roebling instead of Laguna Seca so I can get my car on a track again. The new exhaust has really freed up some power that I'm enjoying.

BTW everyone,

I just saw this video on the net and I think it's of CMP. Not sure, but it's a Viper crash going into turn 1. Lost brakes...

Holy Crap!

Looked like he tried to grab the e-brake. couldn't tell if it just didn't work either or he couldn't find it. The instructor started to grab the wheel and I think they both just grabbed their butt cheeks for crash. Man that was a huge impact.

I'm impressed that the instructor has his whits about him enough to tell him to turn off the ignition.

Session 7
I'm averaging 1:30s in this session for the 5 or so laps after getting out of traffic.

Just damn. That was scary as hell. A huge impact too. It sounded like the car may have flipped, or rolled too. It looked like it hit the tires a little crooked, and it might have caused it to roll. glad they were both ok, but damn, that was scary. And yes, it was CMP.

Silver, glas to know you had a lot of fun at Roebling. It is a great track, well suited to our car. And you running 1:30's, that is really good for our car on street tires. That would have been right there with TA last October, he was running in the 1:30-1:31 range, OD was the same, but he was pestering Phlash most of the time.

OMS - I want to say LOL, but can't stop laughing about that silly acronym thing when I type it.
And I must point out that you seem to have some poopy fixation today - Depends, farting roommates....

I think I'll survive unless someone is trying to set a new record for a rookie in HPDE 3

well, you will only be able to catch a ride with TA, since those in DE3 can not have passengers. But that alone is worth the trip. Dude can fly. But hold on to your pants.

What, you don't carry the puke bags in your glove compartment? What kind of airline is this? Do we at least get snacks during the ride?

Seriously all, thats why you guys are so nice. Point the n00b in the right directions, and make him feel welcome.
(TA, only if you have a free spot on one of your runs, it would be an honor to take a ride along.)

or even catch a ride with Rob Summers in the 5.0 RX-"7". I have to warn you though... that boy knows how to drive sideways and I believe the tires are screaming for mercy from turn 2 to turn 8. That is one fun ride. I suggest that anyone that has an opportunity, ride with that young'n one time around RR.

I've been talking to him about his car and setup. It weighs about 150# more than mine, but has about 3x the HP & torque with that 5.0 in it. I'm going to get a ride with him as well. He's racing though, so it may be tough.

He spun out in turn 4 first session on Saturday. Cold tires, cold track and first session is going to cause trouble with someone that pushes it as hard as he does. He got sideways in the soft stuff which is scarry and the back window broke off at the hinges but that was all the damage. The car was full of sand!
