SouthEast Mazda Meet Feb. 5-6, 2005
Hey guys!
There's a BIG mazda meet being held Feb. 5th, to Feb 6th 2005!
I know that it is the superbowl weekend, but if you can make it, that'd be GREAT.... We'd love to have you.
I believe that I will be going along with my boyfriend JammerJ (Jay).
Post up here if you can go, and i will forward it to the msprotege site.
PARK DETAILS

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Schedule of Events
Friday 2-4
7pm-12am set-up of tents and marshmallow roast while people arrive.
Saturday 2-5
8am - Sponsors/Exhibitors arrive with me to help set-up and prepare
10am-12pm - event officially opens. Meet and greet time while others arrive.
12pm-1:30pm - grilling of burgers, dogs, ribs and brats....food and drink all provided. (feel free to bring a dish if you'd like)
1:30-2pm - clean up and prepare for caravan out to Barbers Motorsports Park
3pm - Barber's Motorsports park ($10) museum is a huge new historical museum dedicated to the history of racing. Barbers is considered the nicest course in America if not the world right now. Pictures can and will be taken at this time.
5pm(ish) - Head back to the campground for more grilling (fast food is very nearby if so desired). More, meet and greet time untill.....
9pm-1am (or so) - Caravan to Lassiter Mountain Drag Strip in Gardendale, AL for drag racing with timeslips. Another great photo-op and chance to see other mazda's in action.
1am - return to the site for camping and possibly more marshmallows (my wife's favorite).
Sunday 2-5
10am - event officialy kicks off again with more mingle-time and possibly a small car show with prizes donated by local vendors (still working these details out)
Noon - yup, dogs and burgers again!
clean up around 2pm and will most likely hang out until the last person leaves.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
COST
$3/day to get into the park (children and seniors is $1)
$10 for Barber's Museum
$10.55/night for a campsite. (about 1/4th the price of a hotel nearby)
and I'm asking for $3-5 per person to help with the overhead of renting all this stuff and to pay for the cost of food. I figure we'll have about 50 people show up and I've already spent almost $300 on supplies! No'one is required to pay anything but park admittance. Everything else is optional but would help.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RULES
Should be common sense but you never know..
NO ALCOHOL - state park rules and you will be fined and removed
NO RACING - common sense yet again
NO USELESS REVVING OR BURNOUTS - we don't need to draw negative attention to ourselves.
NO FIGHTING - goes without saying.
