Directions:
From I-10, exit 203 onto Thomasville Road (319).
Take Thomasville Road north 12 miles,
turn left (west) onto County Road/Highway 12,
travel 2.5 miles then turn left (south) onto Iamonia Landing Road,
just before the lake there is a tiny park on the left.

Everyone said they had a great time at the last one. Come on out for a free burger, provided by Fritz and grilled by me, and chat it up with some other rotor heads.

 

time will be 11am-3:30pm

menu: we will be serving gulf coast apex seals grilled to a light carbon buildup and covered in a sweet extra virgin mineral oil....and burgers.

 

If you want to bring your own meat, you're free to use my grill. And in case there was any question, we won't be providing any alcohol.

at least one... mpt_yellowRX8 has told me he & his wife are probably coming from Destin.

there's also at least one local rx8 guy i hope can make it although i haven't heard from him lately...

We'll be there! Hopefully some FD owners will show up so I can get my wife around one, I'm trying to squeeze in a second car in a year or two

 

who from jax is going so we can organize a caravan.

 

it's looking like 10-15 possible cars with maybe 15 people. from the 3 forums i've counted the following:

4 definite from tallahassee [vert, fc, fd, fd]
1 possible from tallahassee [fb]
1 possible from orlando [fd]
1 probable from destin (x2 people) [rx8]
2 possible from p'cola [fc, fc]
2 possible from tampa [fc, fc]

unfortunately the one rx-8 i know in tally will be out of town on this weekend. any other rx-8's in north florida or south georgia interested??

Count me in. I'll bring a rotary clock, so we can hand out slips and pull a winner. I'll also shoot out an email to evry 8 I know...maybe we can pry a few loose from their chores for a day.

Sounds great. I'll meet ya there, Pete. I sent out emails to about 20 RX-8 drivers. Both my daughters will be in tow. My oldest lives for this stuff.

I just got my car detailed and I am putting it back in the garage until the meet. Hopefully it will be shiny for ya'll and maybe even hurt your eyes to look at it in the sun! It will probably rain on me though Oh Well, I'll be there either way.

you don't have to bring anything unless you want to eat something other than burgers. Patrick will have a gas grill there if you want to cook up something specific. all guests are welcome, just let us know so we can provide enough food. your wife won't be the only one there. :D

My Girlfriend will be there as well, we will probably just stop by the park sometime during the morning, lots to do while we are visiting.

 

How is the weather looking for our meet tomorrow? I know it is raining on and off here but I can't pull up a good forecast for Tallahassee. I'm still coming, but I'm wondering if we'll be forced inside or if we'll just deal with it when we get there.

 

Hey Fritz...great turnout. I personally had a great time, and I'm fairly certain everyone else did too.

The only ones who didn't seem to enjoy themselves and left early were the DUCKS!! :D :D

Pete, you really impressed the home boys in the Honda Civic. I guess they had never seen a professional in action. LOL
