Thanks Lindell Mazda In Clearwater
AFTER 6 TRIBULATING WEEKS, WE FINALLY TOOK DELIVERY TODAY. IT WAS A BALMY WINTER SATURDAY AFTERNOON IN ST. PETERSBURG AND WE ARRIVED AT LINDELL MAZDA AROUND 3pm. AFTER JAMIE RE-SIGNED ALL THE PAPERWORK, AGAIN (DUE TO THE DELIVERY DELAY) WE WERE ON OUR WAY. JAMIE TOOK CONTROL FIRST, UP 66TH ST TOWARDS LARGO THEN DOWN ULMERTON TO CLEARWATER BEACH FOR SOME SKYLINE CHILI SPAGHETTI... (YES FOR THOSE FORUM MEMBERS IN THE MIDWEST, WE HAVE SKYLINE CHILI DOWN HERE IN FLORIDA ALSO , NOT ENOUGH THO)
AFTER DINNER, IT WAS MY TURN GIVE IT A WHIRL. I LIKE THOSE HIGH SPEED/HIGH TRAFFIC AREAS, SO STRAIGHT TO I-275 AND THE HOWARD FRANKLAND BRIDGE OVER TAMPA BAY. ONCE WE HIT THE BRIDGE, THE SUN WAS DOWN, THE XENON WAS UP AND THE WINDOWS AND SUNROOF WERE OPEN, SO I FIGURED THE THROTTLE SHOULD BE TOO... 60...65.....70....75 I COULDN'T HELP MYSELF.... FROM THERE THIS VEHICLE SEEM TO LIFT OFF THE GROUND AND HOVER IN BETWEEN THE ELDERLY OPERATORS ON THE ROAD.... ZOOM-ZOOM.... NOW I KNOW WHERE THEY GOT THE CATCH PHRASE... I STILL COULDN'T HELP MYSELF.... 75......80.....85.. KEPT IT THERE FOR A WHILE AND JUST RELAXED UNTIL WE GOT CLOSER TO LAND. AMAZING HOW QUIET AND CALM THE CABIN IS WHEN YOU HAVE ALL THE WINDOWS OPEN WHILE TRAVELING AT SUCH A NICE SPEED ACROSS TAMPA BAY. AS WE BEAMED CLOSER TO THE END OF THE BRIDGE, I DROPPED IT BACK DOWN TO A MORE LEGAL SPEED AND ONCE AGAIN WEAVED THROUGH THE ELDERLY TRAFFIC ON THE VETERANS EXPY MAKING OUR WAY BACK TO THE COURTNEY CAMBELL CSWY FOR A PEACEFUL RIDE HOME.
IT REALLY WAS AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE. ONE WE WON'T FORGET FOR A LONG TIME... WE TEST DROVE MANY 8'S, BUT THIS WAS DIFFERENT... REALLY DIFFERENT... PICTURES TO COME SOON...

Have fun with your new 8 man! I have a yellow 1 and will be replacing the whole exhaust, intake, flywheel and put Canzoomer's stage 2 on when I get back from Antarctica in Feb. Try to schedule a get together sometime in March. 8 show at Clearwater Beach!
