I'm in, especially since I started this thread!!!! It was called any 8's in WPB, remember? My wife still thinks I'm nuts, but my kids want to go, so bring the digital cameras.

I'll be in my sunfire. It's a red 4-door. I'll probably be at the bookstore before everyone gets there. The bookstore is my place of solace in times of pain...........I got the call from mazda about my transmission..........I'll save the news for the meet. I'm still trying to cope.

For those of you who missed it, it turned out to be me, English, and rx8gator. My friend Jack, the transmission breaker, showed up in his rx7. We only hung out for a bit. English, his girlfriend, and I went to parrots in downtown west palm. Had a few beers. All in all it wasn't so bad. I'm looking forward to the next time, when I should have my car back. Sorry to disappoint you guys. I know you were looking forward to hearing it. :D

So many roads to ride...

Hey guys....it was very nice to see that there are a few people around town as passionate about their cars as I am. It was great to put a face with the avatar and I look forward to the next, more populated gathering. When I get home tonight, I'll post up a couple of the photos.

Basically, we had two cars and a keychain. Not bad, but not good. Here's a couple of pics....RX8Gator belongs to the sweet red one with all black leatha, and English belongs to the black one with a plastic front end....

In the background in the above photo, please note the SWEET soundin' souped up RX-7. As mentioned above, at least two other 8's were spotted in the mall parking lot (yellow & black), but didn't find their way to this "intimate" gathering.....

Paradigm has suffered an unfortunate incident, which prevented him from driving the full sized 8 to the gathering. In it's place, however, we offer......his keychain.

Increase we will - I'm looking forward to the next one too. My yellow would've looked real cool next to the black and I LOVED the keychain.....lol
Thanks for the pics....makes me feel a little better. Does anyone know of another yellow RX8 with the name Moonraker on the front windshield? Saw one in my neighborhood in the gardens - we waved and I thought he posted he but does not.
Since I'm new at the triptronic shifting - and I'm even experimenting with the paddles now (lol) - other than listening and feeling the shift is there a standard RPM or speed to shift at? Hope I don't sound too geeky - it's nice to be a newbie at something again.

I'm sitting here browsing the threads, watching NYPD Blue and thinking....THE RED LINE??????? If I do that I'm going way way to fast - as it is with shifting at 4K I have to pull it back big time.

Let the car go!! It is a blast to get those RPM's up. I get a rush when I pass someone in third who is already cruising along I-95. That's what that 5th lane is for around northlake and blue heron! It's also an easy exit if you do spot the FHP....
RXG8gator....keeper shot of the the 7. Any more?

okay - need someone to help squash my fears....for the first time I shut off the car and the fan continued to run. I had just filled up the tank at Shell. I turned it back on thinking something was weird and shut it off. It shut down just fine and as I exited the car the fan started running again. It's now about 10 minutes later and it's still running.....is this normal? Should I be concerned?

I've been pushing it a little more today. Soooooooo cool. Also picked up 2 more miles per gallon since I started using the gears. Thanks for your support and for not making me feel like a moron - lol
