sup guys I'm a sunlight silver 8 owner in the asheville area. I may not be going to the rotary rally this weekend but I hope to see some of you guys at the import alliance in atlanta!

It was great actually. Old Maple Hill Rd is a very nice road. It has some mellow curves and some tight ones. Most of it is newly paved and there is rarely anyone on it. We took two runs on it. The first one was a feeler to see what the road offered and the second was a full blown run. During the second run we got caught behind some bikers going extremely slow. Overall, it was a great trip and I think two of us are gong out there again after the Wilmington Cars and Coffee event this upcoming Saturday.

I am glad you guys had a blast there. I see that you have a BHR Ignition have you noticed any improvements. I have replaced my coils over 5 times

I just installed it a couple weeks ago, but yes I have noticed some improvement. My ignition before was almost brand new, but I got a great deal from a local member so I took it. So far I have noticed a little more kick in the mid rpm range. Can't comment on gas mileage yet seeing as this tank has been mostly used on that backroad. It is a great system and there are a lot of members who love it. I know there is someone selling one with 17k miles on it. These coils have be documented to last 100k miles and that's with the original version of them. If you are having issues, you might want to check them out.

It's Important to do the "brake pump" reflash or whatever that is called if you change coils or pulleys or anything like that. What I noticed after the BHR kit installation is how effortlessly and smoothly the engine seems to pull. Less stress in the whole range and more push higher in the rev range.

Well the person who had them posted up already sold them. Just check the for sale thread from time to time. They usually go pretty quick!

The coils in the BHR kit are from GM, they're the coils used on many GM V8 engines. BHR has great customer service and even has some kind of refurbish service at little or no charge when you buy a used kit, second hand from what I understand.

Could you explain the "brake pump " reflash...I just installed a AEM cold air intake and a (what I think looks like a) race roots exhaust , now it seems like it stalls when it comes to a complete stop.

I don't think it will effect you with only a intake and exhaust but trying it won't hurt. With the key in the ignition and turned to on but not start, pump the brake 20 times in 8 seconds and if it has been done right the oil pressure gauge will do a back and forth sweep to confirm the reset. It has to do with some engine parameters and synchronicity stored in the "secondary memory" not cleared when you disconnect the battery.

There are many other things that can cause it to stall at a stop. The stock intake and exhaust are designed so well that even with name brand company parts, you will usually see a decrease in power when modified. The only reason I have an AEM intake is to make room in the engine bay for something and I really didn't want to do it.

Thanks for the info....It seems it needed some time to readjust or something cause its running good now. I put the exhaust cause the previous owner let me have it at no cost. It does sound good and not a lot of drone inside the car. Now for some wheels and tires..
