Numbers #62 and #63. One of our cars never really actually got out to race... it was having engine problems with two entirely different engines. The other car was hit in the 4-5-6 complex by a slow moving car and knocked into the wall while my dad was driving. Completely ripped everything in front of the front wheels off the car. Luckily my dad wasn't injured... but it's a weekend we don't remember very fondly...

 

ahh yes I remember that. Very unfortunate for you guys. Glad your dad made it out ok though.

Sadly, I'm taking the MCAT next Wednesday in the DC area, so I'll be up there this coming weekend. Plus we are gonna be having the team getting ready for the Laguna Seca race... they are going to have to leave on monday to make sure they get there on time.

 

I'd be up for a meet, but I'm not sure I could handle hanging out at an air show all day.

 

Hmmm somehow I missed your last post NoTears otherwise I would have responded to it earlier .

The air show was a blast. It's always fun to hang with everyone (the few that came) and watch people drool over our cars. The angels never fail to amaze and the pearl harbor demo was pretty sweet (blowing stuff up FTW! haha). I posted up photos in the multimedia section.

i guess this is as good of a place as any to get my first post. I live in Asheville N.C. As of right now i have owned my car for about 2.5 months and it is my 1st rotory powerd car. I would love to go to a local meet.

Okay... so I'm getting pretty frustrated with this town. Anyone know of any shops that fill nitrous bottles near Fayetteville? I've called about a dozen shops and no one seems to know anything around here. The closest place I have found is about an hour away in Goldsboro. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, we should all get together sometime and plan a drive to anywhere! I'm only an hour from F-ville, and I know of a few others that are willing to make the trip! May have to plan it in about a month or so...I'm trying to get my body kit finished plus it looks like I'll be without a license plate for 30 days. I hate NC laws...wish I was back in TX!!!

 

Are you waiting on NC plates? I'm still registered in Texas (and really don't want to switch). I'm up for a meet, but mostly looking forward to hitting the TOTD.

 

No, mine have been revoked. A mix up with insurance agencies 6 months ago has forced me to give up the plate for 30 days! Tried to fight it but lost!

If it was Labor Day weekend, that would be great. I guess they scheduled it in the middle of the week so there would be less traffic? I would have to take time off work to make those dates, or just go out on that Saturday towards the end. I'll have a better idea as we get closer to September.

The RRDI is planning a cookout at Falls lake for either the 2nd or 9th of June. Mark it tent on your calendars. Would love to have a good crowd. More details to come in the next few days on the exact location at falls lake, date, and time.

Another update is that the meets are, at least for now and maybe for permanant because I like the idea , moving to Sonic on atlantic avenue in Raleigh.
