therm8: name: Mike
username: well the 8 is self explanatory, therm (from thermal) been using variations of it for years not sure why anymore
job: Navy, submarines (at least for a few more months), 5 years of sea duty hope to transfer this fall, first 8 on base , now there are 3.
location: Jax FL, hopefully moving to Charleston, SC this fall
28 years old, single
hobbies: cars, computers, gambling, theoretical physics, any electronic gadgetry and doodads, cars, taking on projects that i'll never finish, and cars
previous cars: 98 Volvo c70 (chipped at 17 psi, intake, exhaust, downpipe, ~310 crank hp, what a sleeper :D ). 93 Camaro Z28 (I/H/E, some head work, gears etc). Traded the Volvo in on the 8, and sold the Camaro(my knee couldn't handle the clutch anymore especially in Jax traffic). wish I could've kept both and got the 8 :p
next car: one or more of the following, depending on where i'm at in a few years : the hypothetical RX-7, Caddy CTS-V, Maserati conv.

waldo: Ed
Why you chose your forum username: College joke. Might have been into some software back in the day, of which I was 'warez waldo'. But those times are gone.
AGE: 22.
LIVING SITUATION: Single with gf with me until she goes to grad school.
LOCATION: Shelby, NC (just out of Charlotte)
JOB: Controls Engineer for Milliken. Graduated with EE and CPE from NC State 12/03. Had the job lined up for under a year.
HOBBIES: Unpacking boxes.
Anything else about you: I am a huge E46 fan. Had a cherry 03 330i lined up, but found out the owner sold it before I could formally offer a price. So I bought the 8. Which is a very sweet car. I _will_ have a 330i, but might have to keep the 8 too.
I kept my 92 explorer as a daily driver. 175k and counting, which is good since I have always driven it like anyone would drive their 8.
And no, daddy didnt buy it for me. Daddy didnt buy the explorer either. Paid cash over 3 years ago for it. Independant is the only way to go!

Name: Richard
EDIT- after creating this I just realized this is a southeast forum- but here is the bio anyway)
username comes from an email address I used to use for Ford Probe (and other) mailing lists- how interesting......
Age: 39
Living situation- Living with girlfriend for 8 years - who knows what will happen! (I like the fact that 2 other people here have been living with GF for almost as many years before getting hitched)
Location: Manhattan, NY
Occupation: still to be determined!!! Make a meager living doing various freelance things related to film and video. Editing videos, TV shows, commercials, (Just worked on Girls Behaving Badly today) Directing some projects ( used to direct alot of fashion- it was horrible- all those naked models- even got on to the set of Victorias Secret)
I have a music video I directed and edited that is about to start running on MTV2's Subteranean, for The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players. You can see the video online at www.slideshowplayers.com or directly at this link.
http://nova.lunarpages.com/~editvi2/MTweb15.mov
It's nice work and pays very well, when you can get it. I also have my own high defintiion TV edit suite.
more videos at http://www.edit-video.com/
Hobbies- work is my hobby mostly, but of course love things involving racing. Also love home theater projection, High end stereo (using tube amplifiers) recording and producing records
for friends bands, helping them at gigs, with their career, (see above video as it qualifies as an unpaid hobby) Also love ebay!!
The RX8 - a big hobby as this car is total overkill for Manhattan - where I do most of my driving. I do have spots where I can open it up a bit though- lots of stoplight racing which the RX8 can be good for if your willing to rev high (and I do)

LIVING SITUATION: I still live with my mom..
LOCATION: Gainesville, FL
JOB: Full Time Student/CSR
HOBBIES: Basically anything that is car related and almost nothing that has to do with being "girlie." I may dress like a girl, but shopping and all that is some of my least fav. stuff to do! I would choose having my hands in an engine than being in a mall anyday! I like autox and other track events...Proving yourself on the streets isn't everything
Anything else about you: I have a 91 BMW 318i with an M3 Motor in it...My little 5spd...I love my baby...but my 2004 Silver RX-8 6spd is nice too!! If you live in Gainesville and come out to the thrus. night meetings...I'm the only RX-8 out there and one of 2 non-car hoe girls...
Why you chose your forum username: It's kind of self explanitory...
AGE: 17 *yes i know, i'm a baby, but at least I'm not in high school :D ...No offence to anybody*
