$1000 mod.
Ok. I have about one thousand dollars burning a hole in my pocket! I was interested to hear what everyone though would be the best way to spend it on my "8". Are there any sites that offer combo packages (ex. exhaust, intake or intake,ecu...Etc.) Just wanted to make sure I get the best deal. Any ideas would be great. Thanks for you help in advance!

Go for Canzoomer Stage 1 and exhaust. Look out for a Group buy on the zoomer chip and save yourself $100 ($500 vs $600) If you like the exhaust a little loud, get the BB. If you like it a little quiet, get the Racing Beat.
There you go bro, now go and spend some cash!!!

My warning about getting the RB exhaust (which I do actually think is a good one) is that from what people have been saying it seems that it's pretty heavy... i.e. little to no weight loss compared to stock. But it looks good, clips sound good and reports say it sounds good.
I'd include Borla as an alternative to B&B as well.
I agree that exhaust and ECU will get you the most bang for the buck at the moment.

Read the info in Canzoomer's forum or just do a search.
Putting on a cat-back exhaust should only void you warranty on the stock cat-back, but some dealers may try to tell you that lowering backpressure could cause some kind of engine damage so they won't do any warranty work for you. The same ones try to void your engine warranty when you install a new stereo.
So. You SHOULD be able to mod your car as you like and not have your warranty voided... that they would have to prove your mod caused the failure. But unforunately practice isn't the same... cat-backs and intakes will usually slide through. If you and the techs at your dealer are cool, then the ECU piggyback will be fine too... but the average dealer... they will say something to you at least... worst case is they refuse warranty work. Because of this... there is an "on/off" switch that CZ included. Turn it off when you go to the shop and back on when you leave. They won't know the difference until they actually open the ECU box and look... and times they need to do that are rare. Worst case... take off the piggyback before going to the dealer for any warranty work.

CAI, either K&N Typhoon or one of the others. $200
Borla Exhaust $600
Lowering springs $130
MazdaSpeed ground wire kit $50
Use the rest for gas, you'll need it just because you will be driving the hell our of it just to hear her purrrrr
:D
CZ stage 1 has to be changed every time there is a new ECU Map put out by Mazda.
The onlly way I would do a Canzoomer is if I was big time into tuning and got the entire set up that allows me to tune as I go...that's way more than 1K.
