Smile 0-60 in 5.53 and 221whp BABY!!!

0-60 in 5.53 and 221 whp BABY!!! And yes that is WHP. And yes that is 0-60 MPH. I know the first things that are going through your head while you read this, you are thinking BULLCRAP!! But I really dont care what you think because it has been done. just letting you guys know that there is hope out there. Its amazing what some good tires, a good clutch, a good flywheel, a modified "stock" intake and a very well made exhaust and special midpipe can do for you. I Love my RX-8.

Let me guess, you pulled these figures from g-tech?

Ya, and my palladium enrichment cold fusion idea worked too, I swear. I measured the temperature change with my finger! Your results are only as useful as your measuring device and method of experimentation.

Sorry to be an *** but there is no possible way you pulled 221hp at the wheels without some type of tuning, even then, its not possible. Extreme exhaust porting and a really good tune probably wouldn't yield those results.

Look bro.' I'm calling bullplop unless you can come up with a timeslip, a dyno sheet, and a video. If you can't provide those things, then we have no choice but to raise the flag.

I'll never understand when people go take the time to go to the track but don't keep the timeslip as proof?

YAH. You'll make plenty of friends here.

There is one really consistent thing we look for on this forum in order to take you seriously. That is PROOF! If you don't have proof, you don't post. You also only have 9 posts here so you don't have any credibility. That would help too. Your name isn't J**** I** is it?

If you really don't care what we think, you wouldn't have bragged about it. At the very least give yourself some credibility. Put a camera in the car and record the event. Then post the video. You know what they say, seeing is believing. the reason we doubt so easily is because 90% of claims here are bs. You've got a 10% chance of being honest. Prove it.

If you take offense to this, then you are obviously lying to us and have still proven yourself. Then you will never have any credibility here. You've basically just been called out.

Actually BULLCRAP is not specifically what I was thinking.
He didn't get called out, he called himself out.

lets keep the attacking and sarcasm down to a minimum folks. to question his results there is no need to try to belittle him.

Extreme exhaust porting and a really good tune probably wouldn't yield those results.
a good tune with ported exhaust ports plus a littl eintake work plus no cat could get you 221 to the wheels. i have no doubt about that.

actually what i was thinking when i read the title was "how would he manage that?" perhaps superscout would like to share a little more about the mods?id like to know a litle more about the modified stock intake and the "special" midpipe.

IT HAS BEEN DONE MY FRIENDS!!!

Congradulations, you have joined the elite RX-8 Club of 0-60 in 5.5 seconds or less. I have mine modified with K&N Intake, Magnecor Plug Wires, SR Underdrive Pulleys, SR High Flow Cat, Racing Beat back cat Exhaust & the frosting on the cake-Royal Purple 5w30, all this with a K flashing :D .

I have no problem beating to 60 and beyond 350Z's, G-35's & non stock Mustang GT's, all of which can do 0-60 in less than 5.6 seconds :D .

My car has passed smog so, I can have my cake and eat it. The system works, with the aftermarket mods, I have the speed and can keep the enviorment clean.

Sincerely,

Mike Z

Oh yeah well I put down 405 at the rear wheels 0-60 in 4.0, don't ask me to prove it. It was on a stock engine. Oh yeah did I mention that I was driving a Z06?

Come on bro

I know my RX8 feels fast, never timed it though but I know I outrun a lot of competitors or at least stay on par for the most part. Mods are good for the RX8, knowing there's no real management really makes me hopeful that the RX8 can be the car every non-rx8 owner underestimates.
