Drops to around 12lt/10km. Highway cruising
On average, a JC Cosmo with the 13B-REW option gives 15lt/100km city + 11lt/100km Highway.
If you are interested in 13B-REW power (logical choice) then get the FD RX-7 version rather than the JC Cosmo version as the FD engine is better suited to a higher revving application.

The 13b-re is a fairly nice fit, thats what I have in mine. It will take some engineering either way, neither drop it. I wouldnt keep the twin turbos, go with a single instead. You should be able to get a solid 350-450hp depending on boost, as long as you have the fuel system to supply it.

fuel economy wont be a problem.
Im 17 and im studying mechanics in my school; an Rx8 with a 20b twin turbo seems to be a good idea since everyone will be doing honda civic's or crx's.

Ricer like me? lol. I prefer the 20b but change out to a single turbo if you want more power. Stock twin turbos arent reliable when you up the boost. Let me know if you do this that would be great. I was saving money for this swap also ,but **** happened and i basically lost most of it. So i gave up. What type of program are you going through for mechanic school? Wonder if its the same as the ones here in california.

I think you can use the stock tranny just reinforce it. Stock tranny should fit the 20b , if i remember correctly >_>. How much power are you aiming for? You would probably have to replace almost everything lol. I wouldn't spend 20k+ on a 20b swap unless i was aiming for high numbers , or else to me its not worth it. Oh yeah and i mean pump gas reliable power.
