My local shop quoted me $1500 for complete engine swap. Hoping that there is no repairs - $3000 for everything? If you have more money you could go for a 20B

People complain about the reliabilty of the Renesis. The 13B-REW is in a completely different league.
I can't see how $1500 would cover a swap. The engine mounts are completely different, the ECU is completely different, the wiring harness is completely different. You'd have to swap in a different tranny and mount it too. You'd need a custom drive shaft, You'd need a clutch. Will the PPF interfere? etc. Anything can be done, but it's going to cost significant money.
Honestly most people would be better off buying a different car. If you want to REALLY enjoy a car, start doing track days. You become accustomed to power quickly. I have a friend with a 600hp 2600lbs FC who even agrees with that.
