This is a thread off fo the RX-7 forum. It describes how to adapt an oil metering pump so that it no longer picks up oil from the engine but rather from an outside reservoir. Adapters that do the same thing are available from rotary aviation but as of yet they don't have one for a Renesis. This mod actually is performed on a pre-'89 mechanical pump but they all get their oil the same way. Theoretically this could also be performed on the Renesis OMP. The author used the stock washer fluid reservoir as the 2 stroke oil reservoir and even kept it's low level sensor! This is the perfect way to do it. While I personally would use a different reservoir and sensor, this guy got creative and did it cheap. No more engine oil running through his combustion chambers anymore! This may not be an RX-8 but I'm sure it could still be done on one.
