Does anyone know where in Texas someone sells and installs the 20B engine?

i don't think finding a 20b should be too hard...right? it's just a matter of paying the price that the seller is asking, which is, most of hte time pretty high

I know where I can find one, I already spoke with a shop up north. Just wondered if anyone in Texas has a shop yet.

I would NOT trust an ebay 20B unless you're ready to replace a housing or 2, or 3 lol. They don't even tell you the series! Contact Japan2LA on the 7 forums if you still need one.

As for installing one... I just hope you have VERY deep pockets. Whatever you might think it costs, double that. I know some reputable shops in the philly jersey area that can do it for you. http://jprimports.com/ comes to mind. TOP NOTCH guys. If you're looking to install a 20B in a 8 I'm sure you can spend the cash to ship the car out to do the job right.

I know you know all about it. I saw all your progress through the installation. I was very impressed. Thats when I really got interested in the 20B.

Theres a few ones on ebay that are tempting but is scary at the same time. The condition of the inside of them is a mystery.

I mainly need to find an awesome amazing shop to tackle this.

I would consider traveling somewhere. My car stills runs okay.

How long did your swap take?

Ryan, if your willing to travel then angeljoelv's offer is a no brainer. Getting someone that has already dealt with the issues involved in this project is a incredible plus and will save you money. As for the engine as stated in this thread you will need to open up ANY 20B you buy used, another option is to contact Mazmart. There is an legendary rotary engine builder there, I have been in their shop and it looks to me from the parts I saw Rick could put together a 20B for something close to what you might pay for a used one + the required rebuild. If your going to use a different turbo anyway why get 20B parts you will not need?

I agree, angeljoev's help would be most appreciated in such a task. His advice would be more than helpful and get **** done. Well I should definitely talk to Rick from Mazmart then. I would most definitely prefer new over used anyday. This is a good start. Thanks man.

FYI Rick doesn't talk much to the customers, he's in the back with the rotor's
Paul would be the contact and Mazmart is a vendor here. They are located near Atlanta, but ship engines all over. If you have a few bucks you could even ask them to test it in the Dyno room they have, Good Luck.

Awesome, I will be trying to contact Paul on monday. New Parts sound great to me. I'll pay for quality without hesitation. That would great to get everything done at one place.

Im just really getting irritated with my 13b. Worse than dealing with my g/f during that time of the month.

You should. That would be good feedback to see if its worth looking at used ones.

I DOES matter where you buy it if you dont want to be replacing more then you have to. Why take the chance of replacing housings when you dont have to? Or atleast more of a chance. Rebuilding it is always a good idea though. I know you know but you're not the only one with a 20b
