I don't think is available quite yet, but the rep at SEMA said it will be available by the end of the year.
The element is made of steel instead of ceramic and will survive up to 2200°F.

there are plenty of metal cats, haven't seen any yet that will survive 2200 degF continuous, not even $1000 max racing cats, MetalCat is an OK brand though
you didn't try very hard, last I heard they were not being marketed in the US:

a low cost hi-flo metallic sold here in the US is PowerCat by Dynatech, most of the discount auto aftermarket places sell the (Jegs, Summit, etc.) they go for $150 - $180 each in 2.25", 2.5", and 3" in/out sizes, the cat size is the same for all three, I don't know the temp limitation specs on them though

I called them last Friday, but the techs have already left for the day. I'll call again Monday to ask questions. I just want to check if the 2200 F claim is baseless or true.

I burned out my random tech high flow cat, but got a new one from warrantee. The ceramic substrate started to deform from the heat and was loose. Just curious to see if the metal substrate should be able to handle more heat without deforming.
