I don't think 225-230 whp NA is realistic anytime soon. Even with all the stuff (intake, exhaust, midpipe, etc) & canzzoomer people were getting around 205 whp. Some people here have to understand that the Interceptor is not some kind of magic machine, it regulates the engines functions similar to the CZ unit, but with more advanced calibration capability. Ric Shaw has a damn fine unit as well. Those 215-216 whp #'s are probably what you are looking at. But AFR's & timings can only go so far. There was a guy getting 225 whp with the CZ unit but he had advanced his timing so far that he started detonating like crazy unless he put in 100 octane all the time. Hardly what I would call a daily driver. As for the notion that the CZ unit will give you 40 whp by itself, again stop listening to the marketing hype. In previous iterations of this car (past, early models with previous flashes) where some cars were registering 160, even high 150 hp to the wheels would get a lot of help from the unit, but Mazda has worked on stabilizing the hp curve a bit more, and cars now put out 170+ whp from the factory. In general once the tuning of the unit occurs all the car (with mods included) get to aorund 200-205 whp.
