Theoretically it's a good idea with the honeycombs converting the gases. Would be interesting to test! See if they'll give you a refund if it does not work. That's damn expensive considering you can get the same one with out honeycombs for $3.

Less then $5 with tax at any auto parts store in the "Help!" section. This style does not work for long so I've heard.
Even though your check engine light might not be on right now, your car will still not pass emissions until the ecm monitors complete. There is a series of monitors ie : catalyst in this case, heated o2 sensor, evaporitive emissions, misfire monitor, etc.
They have to pass these monitors and if they don't in a set period of time for each monitor ie: 25 key cycles/ cold-hot cycles --the check engine light will then turn on.
However all of these monitors need to be completed and passed until you can pass emissions testing/inspection.

hi everybody

I live in france and i have the problem of the check engine light.

I changed my entire exhaust (header + midpipe + catback). My rx8 is also reprogrammed...

I have already heard about the AccessPORT but I don't really understand how this can fix the problem...

How can the AccessPORT fix it?

I have already tried to fix it with a celfix but it doesn't work either !!!

Will those spark plug defoulers plug right in or do you need to buy and re-thread them?

Hi everybody,

You said the AccessPORT can turn off the light...OK

But does it mean that it can turn off the light forever? or everytime the light appears?

Because I already have an OB2 scananlyzer wich can turn off the light...But the light appears every 50 km

I want to clear the CEL forever

Thanks a lot for your replies

Ironic that a light on your dash puts the weight of the world on your shoulders, but greatly increasing your contribution of destroying a limited resource that our very existance depends on is utterly meaningless to you

And all for a few peak hp, congratulations Einstein

I'm not sure that it works. I have the RE-Amemiya sports catalyser and exhaust manifold and I have the CEL P0420.

Nice off-topic thread revival. You might want to check the classifieds, or post in the appropriate section.
That will help.

There are many helpful threads and comments regarding all concerning topics, this is a great source for my research. For the past 3 years, I've hardly met the requirements for my emissions testing in PA. I'm saving for a build and will be installing long headers, Cat-delete, and other breathing upgrades. Will COBB give me the ability to get my sound, performance, and safety from catalytic clogging while never failing emissions computer testing?

Greatly appreciated.

if you don't have a cat, there is no way you can pass ANY sniff test. No tuning can get u to pass.
