it could be, it took months for me to pop, but now i can pop regularly especially on canyon runs, any corner downshift i can see flames

For the MT and AT the reason it is harder is a pretty simple explanation. With an auto, when the car is about to shift it will cut fuel at or just before the time of shifting so while it is shifting there is barely any excess fuel to be dumped into the exhaust. When you have a MT the car only cuts fuel when WE let off the gas (or hit the rev limit) and this extra second of being on the gas as we shift gears allows the vehicle to send a decent amount of unburnt fuel into the exhaust for detonation.

Makes sense ive been looking for an explaination.... So is this automatic for the system, or would you assume if driving in "manual" mode on an a/t and shifting as high as possible you could trick the system into not cutting the fuel off? Thats the first ive heard of an auto owner getting flames, i was hoping it would be possible to get them on a regular basis
