Advice needed for remap on my RE Amemiya modified 8
Hello fellow 8 owners,
I've been a member on this site for quite some time and have learnt so much about the car and engine by reading your input on here so many thanks for that.
I recently took delivery of the RE amemiya induction and manifold and am waiting on the exhaust and mid-pipe which is coming in September.. British Airways rejected carrying it from Jap thinking it was an explosive or something (and it is!.. just not in that sense )
Anyway getting to the point after all these mods go on I want to do an ECU remap on the engine to get it running optimally. I've read some threads on the subject and done some external research and it seems that there is a piggy back option that TDI offer (pricey!) or a remap of the original ECU.
Can anyone advise what is best? What improvements in torque, BHP and mpg (if any) can I expect and what will it cost? Also the more invisible the remap the better, don't wanna get bashed on the insurance
Btw I'm based in London, UK where it seems nobody mods 8's.. it's understandable, it's a great stock car but I ain't never going back!!
PS. Are there any other nice mods I should consider that will give me good BHP/Torque gains?? Any feedback will be good feedback and much appreciated

accessport, but i dont think it currently works for the euro rx8s. remaps stock pcm, you can buy them new for $700. (best option that is currently not an option for you)
the mazsport interceptor-x is another option. this is a piggyback. you could pick one up for under a grand used.
