Thumbs up AEM CAI review ... again

Install took me 2 weeks. NOW THAT'S GOT TO BE RECORD!!!!!!!!!!!
The intake was missing a pipe and AEM had to ship it to me. For that time, I had an Injen filter on it running the system as a SR. MAN, that was loud and no noticable difference driving. Anyway, I got the part and got the thing installed fairly easily. (Taking off my front bumper that first time took me A WHILE, but after that it only takes like 5-10min).

Driving impressions:
According to the butt dyno, the rate of puckering of the anus tells me that I'm making 10 more hp (yeah right)!!! But seriously though, she seems to have a little more pull in the upper rpms. As far as loudness goes ... it's loud. But no where close to that SR setup I had at first. This CAI on the 8 isn't THAT bad ... with the windows up. Windows down and I definitely can "hear it". Especially after 7000rpm. But considering what everyone has been saying, IT'S NOT THAT LOUD. Compared to a lot of cars I've heard, it's not too bad (I've heard S2Ks and STis sound WAY louder than that). And if your not WOT it's almost like it's not there. I used to have an SE-R Spec V with a Nismo CAI and that thing was way LOUDER.

All in all, I think it was a good purchase.

Only if you suck.

I found it incredibly easy to follow and straight forward. What exactly was the issue for you?

Nothing too noticeable, especially inside the car.

You can't here it in the car. But standing in front of it, it sounds like a cross betweena jet and someone beeping out a LOT of curse words.

How loud is it compared to the K&N typhoon Type I ? Mine sounds like a vaccum cleaner with the hood up.

From what I've heard K&N is the loudest.
