Uh, ok dude, seeing as how AEM won't manufacture a CAI unless it produces 7HP. My buddy can't get an AEM for his '95 Turbo Eclipse 'cause they couldn't get an extra 7HP. As far as "ricey" goes, I'd say you need to get your head out of your rear and look around once in a while: they have some of the most stringent testing procedures in the industry.

then there wont be any intake for the RX-8. if they cant get 7hp with the turbo eclipse, they cant get 7hp out of the renesis. the eclipse is one of the easiest, cheapest cars to tune to a fast street car. the renesis is a hard one to tune.

If the HKS intake can get "4-7HP" as you say, then AEM won't have a problem. Think about it. The HKS intake isn't even a cold air intake........

well im saying its most likely about 5, but AEM will really have to outgun HKS in getting a solid 7hp, i mean if they do get a minimum of seven(lets say their claim is 7-9) i'd buy it for sure, i have one on my FC and it works fine, its just im not intrested in getting big hp with that car as i just did n/a bolt ons to help it breathe better because i drive it hard(touge drifting)

Damn, i can't wait for this AEM to come out. I really wonder if it'll out beat the Rev-i intake. Time will tell.

i wold hate to have that on when it rains...or is that not a problem. I've seen a lot of cars with the intake in tha tarea...and they bog like the madness when it is raining / wet out. have you guys tested it in those conditions?

also i thought the maf had to be a certain distance away from the filter or somethign liek that...or is idles prety bad...or am i spouting nonsense?

I'll try and get the dyno's up. The dyno is with the stock intake and aftermarket exhaust, then added intake installation.
