AEM intke install question

I just picked up an 04 BB 6MT Touring. It already has an AEM intake installed. One of the three vacuum hoses keeps popping off. I can take care of that no problem, but I was wondering if it mattered which way they were hooked up. If it does I want to make sure they are hooked up correctly, just in case the dealer messed around with it or something.

Also I was wondering about the metal vacuum hose where the factory airbox was. It is a thin metal line attached to the floor of the factory airbox and leads toward the front of the car, does this just stay open or is it supposed to be capped or attached to something? If needed I can attach some pics later.

Thanks in advance for the help.

EDIT: Attached instructions from AEM's website.

buy a clip, put it on the hose to tighten it.

Thanks for the reply, but as I siad, I already had that part taken care of.

I was curious about the connection order (if any) of the three hoses and if the small metal hose on the floor of the factory airbox needed to be capped or connected to something.

Thanks.

all 3 lead to the same intake tube, so order doesn't matter. the vfad actuator can be ignored since it's not hooked up to the intake manifold anymore. Most people uninstall it completely though, instead of leaving it in the car.

That's what I thought on the first part, I wanted to be sure though.

The vfad actuator (i'm guessing this is the metal hose I spoke of) still has vacuum. I can feel and hear it if I put my finger over the end of it. I have attached a couple of pics for clarification.

If this is the correct part and can be removed, am I correct to assume there needs to be a cap where the hose will be disconnected from the IM.

Thanks.

That might be the hose you have to cap, I vaguely remember capping one during my install...I'll check in a bit, I'm just lazing around right now haha.

Yup!
If you don't have a vacuum cap handy, buy a pack at Autozone for a couple bucks!

In case anyone wants or needs the info, I added the installation instructions (PDF document) from AEM's website to the OP.

Thanks again for everyone's help.
