AEM/Mazdaspeed Intake Install Question

Hello,

When removing the stock intake, the connector (highlighted in picuture) was disconnected. I unfortunetly was not able to comprehend in the install instructions where it is to connect to while using the AEM/Mazdaspeed intake.

Is the connector just left lying around in the engine bay connected to nothing?

Thanks!

Tape it off out of the way and leave it dosconnected. It is for the VFAD. You no longer have a VFAD so you dont need it.

I'd recommend electrical tape (or other water/weather proof tape) over the connector itself and then zip tie it out of the way.

The only reason for protecting the connector is so that it will not be damaged should you want to reinstall the stock intake or need to use the VFAD connector in some future mod or something.
