I installed my aem the week i got my rx-8 (3 weeks ago), and love it! sound is amazing, and (unfortunatly) im more likely to really get on it so i can hear the sound. didnt really notice much h.p. gain, but then again i just got the car

 

i too would like a new better looking undertray. not sure about a lid though either. we'll see though.

yhey bro is it just me or is one of your vaccum hoses not connected or capped?

 

AT only has two vac hoses


Methinks the BHR airbox replacement is going to be a stealth mod with an airbox looking lid so you can put the engine cover on and nobody would be the wiser.

 

no mines an at and i have 3 ... you might wanna look for the 3rd one last time i checked open ended vacuum hose isnt a good thing

 

There were only two when I took the stock intake off, third was a dummy inlet. Mine is an 09 so that could explain it.

I think I heard somewhere the 09s have a new vac setup to prevent oil from overfilling getting into the intake manifold eliminating the need for a catch can. I could be completely wrong but I'm pretty certain I read that somewhere.

 

^ i actually just looked into this just out of curiosity and from what ive found i think you right and thats really good didnt know that till now

^^ and if you dont want to spend that much just do the stock airbox mod as it helps but the cai sounds really good and you could probably find one for around 300 shipped used if you wait and look here often enough

The lid will have something different about it. Quite unique in appearance.
