after market exhaust research

My rx8 has around 2200 miles on it atm. is it safe to put an exhaust on right now? Also, I simply cannot decide between the SP2 by Greedy, or Agency's manifold back exhaust. I keep hearing good and bad between both and it seems like i lean towards greddy one day, and agency the next.

Also, i hear that both exhaust will melt the bumper? what can i do to prevent this?

Its your car.

Everybody has a different taste.

It will not kill your car with an exhaust. You can change it the day you get ur car.

I put the Agency Power exhaust on with less than 1500 miles on the car. I like the AP exhaust, sounds nice. If you use the midpipe they supply, its louder, but nice to have if you plan on going FI. About the bumper, my AP exhaust sat just a bit low, so it sat on the bumper so yes, it would melt the bumper, but knowing I was getting a kit & didnt care too much, so I just took the corner exhaust surrounds off.. A lot of people swear by the Greddy exhaust also, so you'll just have to decide on your own !

an exhaust is a pipe with a muffler attached, all it really does is free up some flow and make alot of noise, other than that i wont affect the car in any way

I have the AP exhaust with some dual resonated AP midpipe. It's still loud, and sometimes I hate that the sound is following me... Under WOT thought its fun too listen too the engine zoom through the RPM's. Oh ya, I also have a header so it sounds louder anyway...

In between install I drove around with just a header for 1 day, it's fun too listen too the engine make noises... For ONLY a day...

you can't be sure it frees up air flow. if there are gains, it's in the 2-3 hp range. RB removed the entire exhaust system and only gained ~5 hp. So it'd be impossible for any catback to gain more than that (NA at least).

racing beat gained 5 hp with the muffler removed. i assume that means catback only.

as for which exhaust, just know agency power w/ midpipe too is going to be very loud.
