Aftermarket Intake...

I have all kinds of intake piping and a cone filter that I ran on my Celica for a while... I'm selling the Celica and was wondering if it is possible to use that intake on the RX8 as long as it fits correctly...

Is there going to be a problem where it was not developed specifically for the RX8? I don't want to do something that could potentially damage or cause issues...

it should work as long as it fits, most intakes are the same anyway...........filter, tube,

don't forget, it's gotta have a MAF sensor slot and 3 vacuum holes

And this is the important thing to realize. Other than that you can run the pipes any way you want (either behind the bumper or boxed-in like the stock.

Search, read & read again. If you've understood all the comments then you'll drop kick that filter.

make sure the inside pipe diameter is the same as stock of you'll throw off your MAF readings

Here you go. I designed a few intakes using different size pipe. I found 3.5" dia works good but a 3.5" to 4" pipe combo works best in my opinion.

This thread shows pics of my current 3.5" to 4" pipe CAI with a 9" AEM filter.

Warning: dont not use pipe less than 3.5" in dia you will eventually get a CEL.
