Agency Power Pullied + Supercharger? problem?

Hi all --

In the process of figuring out where I want to go with my mods, and forced induction the question that popped up in my mind is *IF* I were to get a supercharger (petit for example) and I would already have the Agency Power Crank pully installed, would that "work"? I.e. would they NOT interfere with each other in any way?

I know a supercharger is powered off the crank and if I have a custom pulley in there I wouldnt want it to mess up the function/performance of said supercharger if I ever got one.

Right now I'm mostly playing the waiting game for the next "good" turbo or supercharger when they finally go on sale to the public in the mean time I'm trying to take care of all the "little" mods I can in prerparation, just dont want to spend money/time on say these pullies (or intake in my other thread) if I'm just going to have to rip out the little stuff later when the Forced Induction comes along.

Thanks!
Jeff

Do not get aftermarket pulleys if you are going to go with a SC.

Gotcha! I'm guessing the reasoning is because it would in effect under-drive the supercharger itself and wind up with less the optimal performance?

I see now that I'd have to wait and make up my mind on what FI system to get before I could decide wether to get pullies or not, and thats a long time away! haha

Thanks,
jeff

or..... you could just go ahead and get the pulley ($145) and use until you go FI. then sell to another member for bargain price.... this is what I plan on doing... i have the AP pulley on order.

very true -- however with my luck holding onto to "old stock parts" goes I would be better off just waiting and saving my 145 dollars. Knowing me I would lose the belts or the original pulley.

Have to agree with sstricker - why sweat over $145 . Your SC is going to cost a s**tload more than that so just do it .

Pretty sure that whatever pulley is supplied to drive SC it will also replace the stock pulley anyway.

hehe because thats 145 dollars that can be put towards my lightweight flywheel or... most likely this weekend ordering HAWK ceramic brake pads all around (tired of the ******* squealing and dust, and they perform the same

You can go with under drive pullies for the alternator and water pump but not the crank.

The crank pullie will be designed for the SC application.

Soon the Axial Flow SC will be ready.
