I don't buy Kool-Aid
Hey Richard, my friend got a SS and he keeps poping out of reverse. He has to push his car back to back up. What could be the issue? I never had any issues with mine.
For now I'm letting him use my oem shifter.

I got my shifter, install is a breeze thx to the DIY, but a slight problem. I didn't want to bring up an old thread and this one seems most current so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Once I installed it, I could NOT get it into 6th. Went for a drive, couldn't get it into 6th, ended up grinding a little urg! A fellow member who has one took it for a drive, he couldn't get it into 6th. Drove home (2 hour plus drive) trying from time to time no go. When I finally got closer to home I got it into 6th. It took some real force pushing it hard over to the right and down. Did this a couple more times sometimes it would go in others not (causing gear grind).
I have been searching and can't really seem to find a fix or anyone (other than the guy above in this post) having this problem.
My thought would be to file down the reverse stopper tab (thingy) a few millimeters to see if that would allow me to go over far enough to get into gear. It just feels/seems like that's all it would take.
Any experience thoughts on this plz?!?!?!
Other than that luv it!

i got mine. it's great. it feels so natural. i do have a question though.
the diy guy says his came pregreased. mine did not. i just rubbed some of the grease from the stock shifter on and in the white ball thingy and also a little on the reverse lock tab thingy.
will this be sufficient or should i pull it out and grease it more? if this, what grease is recommended?
it seems bolt action through the gears, so i think it's fine. i just want to make sure.

I have gotten so many PM's from people about nissing out on the last
forum deal we had that I'm going to repeat it but with the price increase of $10.00 added on. Again it will be for 25 units only. We ran alot more but most went overseas unexpectedly. I'm not sure of the exact number left but it's close to that.
Since not many people went for the brace deal we'll drop it. I made the offer because I wanted to get some more braces out there. If more people had them they would spead the word of how much good they did.
So now for the next 25 buyers to contact me through the forum or just by Paypal at axcharg@socal.rr.com with $260.00 shipping is included. They will get a shifter. All you people who Pm'ed me nows your chance. If you want the brace PM me and I'll cut you a deal along with the shifter.
