The best intake system currently on the market right now is the stock one. No CEL and it is the cheapest.

I have the Rotary Extreme unit, & it had no problems. I saw the K&N & I honestly did not think it was designed very well for the RX8. It seemed like it was just ported through from another car. You may want to wait for the Racing beat unit, as it is enclosed, and won't make a lot of noice like some other units.

currently using the Odula ram air intake pipe with the stock box/K&N filter(had removed the two 'air direct' plates inside the airbox), can really feel the different above 3500 RPM or when u travel above speed of 70KM/h.

Are you guys actually scanning the car to see what the cel's are? Or are you just saying "Oh its a cel, must be due to intake".
You know there are an awful lot of possible cels...perhaps if your modding your cars you should look into purchasing a Can capable scanner...you know, so you can actually diagnose your own car.

Well yeah I plan on getting one soon, but it's kinda like trial and error. If it's fine before I put the intake or whatever on and then i put it on and the car has a CEL It's more than likely going to be related to that part that I just installed. Especially if that CEL goes off when I remove that part. Sometimes it's not that simple but usually it's pretty easy to figure out what happened.

I have had the SR Motorsports intake, exhaust, midpipe, pulleys all installed for over a year now and not once have I had a CEL come up. I am not the kind of person to bad mouth or slander anyones products, and I totally understand how someone would back up a specific brand or company especially if they have had good dealings with them in the past, but for anyone to say "this brand intake is better than this one because <insert reason>" is full of hot air. It has been proven that no one has been able to get substantial gains out of any intake built, wether it took them 2 days or 2 years to develop it. The only intake I would personally recommend staying away from would be the typhoon simply because it is an open intake and the super heated engine compartment of the 8 will have a field day with it. IMHO.

Will it work with the stock OEM front bumper and grill?
