Anyone heard of Watanabe Engineering? New FI kits?

They sell the Hymee SC kit and they have a few turbo kits and PCM Flash. No pics though. Their stage 2 4 port kit uses the GT3071 and stage 2 6 port uses the GT3076.

Anyone heard of them?

Here is the link to all their FI kits.

I loved to see pics of the kit and see it installed. Interesting they are claiming 350 on the 4 port as well.

Guess no one is interested in a new vendor producing a FI kit...

True pics would definitely be helpful But it is still a new FI solution on the market for our cars. I would like to see how many of the listed parts they actually developed and built as well.

Last night I was searching for Watanabe's on the RX8 and found this site. The other Watanabe thread I started is about the wheels

Hmmm wonder where they got THAT idea from?

A "Watanabe" ignition system? I will be interested in seeing pix of THIS product, Moe.
Hmm I wonder where they probably got that idea from too!

Their name is listed on several parts that I would like to know more about. But I can see why you would be most interested in their ignition solution

We need to find a member that is local to them that could take/post pics. And even try to get WE to come on to discuss their products.

i believe the claims.... only because it seems like they are packing in ceramic seals.. They're probably running crazy boost just to get that hp rating. But you can do that with ceramic seals. But I bet this kit is expensive as hell. at least $8000 usd. I would think

Looks like a German firm .
Some interesting points I noted :

*Ceramic seals come with the kits -
*Dynos are not real dynos so they may not have even fitted a kit yet .
*They also advertise a conversion kit 4port > 6 port

Ah so you have some background with this company. Interesting. I hope they are not just throwing their name on top of yours because that would not be cool.

well - they may have gone about it the wrong way but if you get to sell more kits then it's all good isn't it ?

Kazuma,

Are you the owner or employee then? How about posting some pics of your kits?

$13k euro sounds about right for germany.

everything over there is pretty damn expensive.

also realize that a clutch and seals are included in that price. and esmeril thinks seals are the way to go for high boost. just throwing that out there. and they've posted 414whp... so i have little reason to doubt their claim of 500whp.

Sometimes I think people forget their idea wasn't exactly original in the first place ...
