Apexi filter on the RX-8?

Is there any way to put an Apexi filter in the stock filter box? I was planning on doing something like the thread below (by superscout) but that filter was rated higher than the blitz. I am looking for creative solutions or if they make one (I've searched all over for a RX-8 apexi filter and didn't find any).
