autobahn exhaust impressions?
hey guys, i'm looking to follow through w/ my N/A on the 8... and i was just asking for some suggestions on headers.
I know they only yield 2-3whp or something like but i still want to get headers.
1. I want to get an Axialflow supercharger when it comes out... will the stock headers have to be replaced?
2. The Autobahn headers run for about 650... 1/2 the price of the RE A. headers or other headers... any impression on this set?
3. what are your impressions on headers to begin with?
thanks for your help everyone.

The only direct feedback I've gotten on headers was from a guy who said they made the car sound way too loud. He did have a custom exhaust when he put the RE amemiya header on. He ended-up taking the header off before he even got the car off the lift.
I'm curious why you would want headers. They don't give the gain on the Renesis that they did on roatries in the past. It used to be you could get 30HP from a set of properly tuned headers. The port timing on the Renesis doesn't allow that type of gain. Plus, you can't even see them. The amemiya headers are a work of art - from underneath the car! It seems like a lot of money for something you can't see or feel.

Wow - another header junkie like me NeedForSpeed has the RE on his car, and you can watch his videos here. http://www.nemesis8.com/videos/MOV00004.MPG I like the Feed header the best so far.

Your original thread header says "Autobahn exhaust impressions" but yet no one can realy contest to the excellent workmanship of this company but me. As you know I have the titanium exhaust and this product is first rate. I love it, but I will wait until the Axilflow comes out before I will do the headers just in case Richard needs to add pieces to the project to make it work.

Don't worry headers don't really add much noise. The knight sports header looks real good, there was a thread a long time ago saying that it gave 11 ps gains all throughout the powerband. But for the same price you can probably get a real good set of coilovers which is better bang for the buck if you ask me.

zoom zoom, that's good info. But i dont' plan on doing headers, and if i do, i plan on getting the autobahn, as it is $650. I have mazdaspeed springs, struts/shocks all around, so i'm pretty happy with those!!
