Autoexe Hood shocks
Has anyone else seen these? I've heard about some people installing hood shocks and wondered if anyone here has?

When I spock with my body shop, they said they didn't want to do anything like this because it could cause potential warping of the hood since it is so light and thin, being aluminum.
Anyone else have thoughts? I would like to do this, but of coarse I'm concearned about the idea of warping the hood.

AutoExe is a major JDM Mazda tuner. They make all kinds of parts for ALL Mazda vehicles. THeir parts are even sold and installed at dealerships. I sincerely doubt that their design would have such a problem.

I've had them for a year now... no problems. They're well-made, reliable, and bolt-on in 10 minutes: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tech-garage-22/autoexe-bonnet-damper-15655/

I think if you install it with OEM hoods it should be ok. But not too sure about the aftermarket hoods [carbon]. My friend has a BMW 3 series, and when he bought the carbon hood from a local shop, they told him not to put back the OEM shocks, or it could cause the hood to deform.
