Do you have to buy a new shift **** for the Axial short throw shifter?

Is there a better one to buy out there?

The AF short shifter works perfect with the OEM shift ****. I've had that combo for years and I could never imagine myself going back to the OEM shifter.
From the outside, you'd never know there was a SS in there so you're free to leave the OEM **** on or buy something else.
The choice is completely yours.

Axial Flow shifter is the mod I recommend to anyone / everyone who drives a Manual transmission RX-8.

that is a very popular **** here....many like it. great size, nice feel.
however, it gets blistering hot in the summer, and ice cold in the winter

 

I have the Voodoo **** and Axial Flow Short Shifter.
It's an excellent combination for shift feel (and the previous comments are fair. Get some driving gloves)

 

I have the voodoo, I got it at the end of the summer so it never got too hot, but I am scared b/c it is really cold in the morning so I know its gonna get F'in hot during the summer. Other than that I love it. Looks better than OEM and I prefer round rather than triangle. I didnt like how it fit in my hand, thats my .02

i have the voodoo too but it doesnt get too cold in the morning. about the same as the oem shift ****.

 

it doesn't get too hot or too cold.. it's jusssssst right.
