Axialflow Short Shifter
Can anyone confirm or deny that they are still selling this? It looks to be still available on their web site, but after reaching out to them I got no response. Their website looks like it hasn't been updated since 1999, and I'm a little leery of sending them money without some sort of communication or someone vouching for them first.

In reference to the Short "Throw" shifter? One of the best mod.'s I've done so far. Well worth the price and installation was a breeze! (I have the S1)

picking up the phone and calling is often the best thing, easy to lose sight of it in the “take 2x longer to write & send digital text” era, guilty myself sometimes
I suppose the website must look like 1999 (which doesn’t seem all that old to me
), since it clearly lists a phone number on a publicly accessible website page. Unlike these new age websites that somehow think a Facepalmbook only listing is an acceptable business practice.
Which many people don’t have a FPB account, meaning they can’t get past the log-in page and thus can’t see jack-dookey; absolutely nothing, that may be on the other side of the prison wall. Yet all the kiddies point and laugh if you mention the day coming when you won’t be able to buy or sell without having the gatekeeper’s mark. 🤔
I was on a local business website today and they at least had a phone number for me to call and make an appointment, but not a single listing on any of the webpages with their address. It is an actual brick & mortar automotive services business. I suppose that’s one of many reasons so many fail.![Dunno](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/dunno.gif)

just pulled up his website for the first time in probably 10 years. Yup, still looks the same
Richard is a cool guy, think older gentleman that was probably really into rock music when he was younger and still has a hot rod passion, that's him.
He was always great to deal with but he is not very tech savvy, just super good with machining and mechanical things.
As others have mentioned, give him a call but unless something drastic has happened I would absolutely trust him with an order.

On the Axialflow shifter, anyone else here experience a rattle in high RPMs (8k+ on second gear)? If so, how did you rectify it?
Not a big deal but something I'd like to rectify if possible. I am using an aftermarket aluminum **** (Arauz motoring, slightly lighter than OEM) but OEM seemed to have the same rattle.

If the shifter is looser it is possible the lower bushing is gone...

I can see I haven't been giving you guys the attention I used too. Heard Willie Nelsons new song "Not Dead Yet"? Nor am I so you can still get shifters and service.
S1 shifters have been in production since shortly after the car came out with a few upgrades overtime. Well proven part you might say.
So just for that we are offering a $30 rebate for December on all shifters. This is not on the website so if you order one you need to mail me and I will refund the $.
Yes the site is old but it works and I'm not up to updating it. Also since I too am old but still working lets just be happy with that.

welcome back Paul!
happy to hear you're well and still roaming these parts. My shifter's been in the car since probably 2005 or 2006 and have had no issues at all with it.

Just received the shifter, but with no shim plate ad seen in the diy guide. I know that the diy guide it’s based on an S2 transmission and maybe it has something different. It’s ok to install it with out The shim plate?
*Edit: Sure I’ve seen the wrong diy. No need of any shim plate in the AFE short shifter.

Just installed my short shifter but I have an issue, when I tilt the lever to the left to engage 1st or 2nd gear if I don’t engage any gear the stick won’t pop back in the middle, but it stops somewhere in between the 1st/2nd row and 3rd/4th row. To get it back to the middle I have to gently push to the right. In fact I noticed that the little semisphere it’s not free to move as the one in the stock shifter. Movements to 5th, 6th and reverse are fine and also need less tilt to engage those gears. May I get some help or advice?
