If you think that is loud...then you've probably never heard what a tuned RX-7 sounds like. I have seen RX-7s that you can hear from over 4 blocks away.

Sounded like my Magnaflow only a hell of a lot louder.

remove it and chip away on the inside until the "guts" of the cat have been completely removed. I would actually try to keep it attatched to the motor so you can crank the car and blow out any pieces you missed or get them to the back so you can chip on those and get them out of there. It would be bad news bears if a piece never came out then got lodged in the exhaust pipe so do it thoroughly.

indeed, or you could buy or make a straight through midpipe with a "fake cat" i see this done more often now, and the people ive seen with this say they get off all the time on visual inspection.

Chipped it out

I completely removed the cat, and chipped it clean. It took me about an hour to get it completely cleaned out. The hardest thing was detached the oxygen sensor. After I got done, I started it up and the CEL came on. I reset the NAV and ECU, and everything is clean. I took it for at test drive, and what a difference. I don't know how much horsepower I gained, but it is definelty quicker and more responsive when I hit the gas, Thanks for the tip.
