For the 'Benefit' Of many - Jet Stream Electric Supercharger

Put at the intake and get colder air? Lolz...
Or maybe should direct it towards the radiator instead... What u guys think of this 'logical' toy?

low boost electric superchargers are being investigated by some serious people. This I know for a fact. It may not happen, or it may. That is not known yet. The S1 Renesis engine on a stock tune can actually take 2-3 lbs of boost and it IS a noticable power improvement.

I've never really thought much about these. Just a piece of crap that wont work haha. But i've never heard anyone buying one. So there is still that wonder in my mind if it would give us any power. Anyone wanna be a guinea pig and share results?

scientifically these things dont make sense. Turbo chargers are using the forced exhaust air to perform the compression that is passed back into the engine..... a supercharger is using the torque generated from the engine to induce more air .... this "electric supercharger" is using electrical currents to drive a fan to induce more air. The amount of turbulance caused when that "supercharger" is running, vs the vacuum /pressure that is running through the intake during WOT would be disasterous in my opinion.
Here is a homebrew example. Get a short length of pvc pipe. Take a computer case fan that has X cfm, and attach it to one end, and take a computer case fan that has X * 10 cfm and attach it to the other end. Make sure air direction is the same on both.
Turn on the system and stand back.

Any particular reason you are making the assumption that the "electric supercharger" side is pushing less air than the engine is pulling?
Agreed, the stupid little fans are terrible and only likely to make your engine have trouble getting the right air flow up until the time it ingests fan parts.
I would say the concept in general is inferior as long as it takes engine power to produce electricity. Anything other than an actual supercharger or turbocharger system is basically adding steps (and associated energy losses) to get to the same point.

not only that, but also consider that, an engine can only "suck in" so much air. The point of a supercharger/turbo isn't to force the engine to "suck in" more air, but to compress oxygen so that the air that is sucked in contains more oxygen per volume. The only benefit that would be gained by this device, is if you have an intake system that is restricted up the wazoo and you needed to aid the plumbing in pulling more ambient air.
