You realize I'm real close to that number now.
Yes - If you put in a BHR CLUTCH (and all it entails) - you too can get 200 WHP.

We got a break in the unremitting rain here on Saturday and RIWWP was visiting so we installed the BHR Ignition Upgrade in my car. We did the install in about an hour with one stock jack in a driveway so I could pass the plug wires down to him. No drama, no problems, we hooked everything up and drove it around. We didn't swap the plugs yet, so I still have my old (30k miles) plugs with the new wires and coils. The idle was very smooth right away and I noticed an immediate sigificant increase in power/response above 6.5k rpms. In the past unless I was going full WOT I would get loss of power above 6.5k, with the coil upgrade it was buttery smooth all the way to redline with no hesitation.

The next time I started my car I had a funky idle which I think had to do with the fact that my wife had her cars exhaust practically stuffed up my intake pipe. This morning I drove the car again to check for any issues with idle etc and not only did I have no issues with idle, it drove even better than the day before. My butt dyno was feeling an improvement, and according to the AccessPORT I was hitting a new high of 240 g/s which is pretty damn good for NA.

Just got the BHR Iginition kit this Saturday, thanks Charles.... smooth and easy installation ( 1 hour ), installed with new plugs also... took it for a spin and noticed better response when accelerating.

Will agree with most others that when starting gave me a an idle problem, I have done all the decarb cleaning, Recall 4206, reflashed the ECU with the latest update, Red Top Battery, New Alternator, New O2 Sensor, Engine Flush etc.... ( My only concern will be low compresion ) the car has 65,000 miles on it... so I guess it's time for another $70 slap in the face to the dealer and do the Compresion Test if they assume still that they don't have the Device since last year...

My next investment is the the Cobb AP...

Having driven for another day with the Ignition system installed I can say... its awesome. I must have had a dying set of coils to begin with because the car pulls much harder now. I don't know if its because my trims were still adjusting from resetting them the same day I did the install, but the car gets better every day I've been driving it. I have no hesitation in recommending the upgrade. I'm going to be keeping an eye on my fuel economy because I had been experiencing a loss in economy over the last few months, so I'm expecting I'll at least get back to where I was before. BHR guys, you rock.

My other links didn't work... re-post!!!!

I was gonna post this in the CRH thread - but it closed.

Here is the before and after tunes with my dwell changes (which may be wrong)... 14 WHP gain over stock... fueling changes account for some - but I did not do a whole hell of a lot to the fuel table between these tunes comapred to the dwell changes. Coils were BHR both times - so there was no misfires per se... but it seems these coils like to be worked hard.

PS - Would have given my left one to see the full NO2 pull with a manifold that was not jacked....

PPS - The resonater box makes for a nice frag grenade...

This is the Dyno with Kane's tune... the red and green lines are the stock tune. The blue and pink are Kane's tune. I have no engine modifications.

Attachment 138272

This is the 3rd run with nitrous with a CRACKED upper intake manifold!!!

90% Dwell changes, the "base" tune was not really 100% stock, just 100% stock dwell.

Gutted Cat.

Cannot get to agressive as the motor has NO2 as well.... so a ragged edge NA tune can be bad when he starts spraying.

BHR Coils + AP (Tuned by MM) = very satisfied customer

The acceleration pulls hard and is resolute all the way to 9500. Idle has never been smoother!

Thanks BHR/MM!

I'm anxiously awaiting mine..already have the new plugs, so when MM sends me my updated maps, I'll be set. On another note, my youngest brother has driven my car 4 times. He drove it a couple of times after I bought it.. once after I installed my new Catbacks and SShifter and again this past Sunday (since MM's basic tune). He couldn't believe how much improvement the car has had just from those few changes. I must say, I'm pretty impressed as well.

It was fine. I am not sure when Jeff changed my dwell settings. Once in a while (when it was hot) I noticed, the common shutter at idle (it would bounce back up immediately).

As for my last tune and the one I installed this morning my idle has had no shuttering what so ever and my 8 is running better than ever!

Should we wait a few so he does not get loads of e-mails asking for updated maps? I can send him a datalog but I will not go into WOT due to my AFRs being in the mid 13's in boost. Can he tweak the same map I am using that he originally sent to me or should I send the datalog?
